SV. ANDRIJA (St. Andrew – The Saint) is an island situated 15 n/m west from Komiža. It has about km² of surface, it is 3,5 km long and 1,5 km large. Its top is Kraljičino (Queen´s) 311 m.
In the Povlebuk bay, there is a fishermen’s – wine growing village Sv. Andrija, a place where still is a fortress established by Teuta, the last Illyrian queen. The island can be reached from Komiža by one of the excursion ships and enjoy in the crystal clear sea rich of fish.
You can also enjoy exploring the island of a very rich history insufficiently researched. The accomodation can be arranged in one of the three houses built at the beginning of the last century.
