PLISKO POLJE (Plisko Field) à- The first populated place along the old road from Vis to Komiža, just after the cross roads “Lokva“. It is situated below the hill “Sveti Vid“ together with the church “Sveti Vid“ from XIV.th century.
During the Second World War there was an Allied Army Airport (nearby the settlement), with some traces remained and seen today.
In Plisko polje you can also find a cricket field of the first Croatian cricket-club “Sir William Hoste“. Some great international games are held here every year.
