PODŠPILJE à another settlement stretching along the old road, once a central place in this part of the island. Therefore, there used to be a school, culture center, post office, winery and the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Birth dating from 19th century. In this area, you can find a lot of stone-fences, a few Venetian fortresses and aristocratic country houses. If you want to come to Žena Glava or Borovik, you have to pass through Podšpilje.
