HOST – an uninhabited isle at the entrance to the Vis bay, named after the English commander sir William Hoste who, in 1811 defeated a much stronger French fleet near it. Today there are ruins of the fort Hoste built at the time. On the underwater northside of the isle, there is and archeological site. You can make a reservation of a four-bed apartment in a 19th century lighthouse there.
